Breeder : Saunders 1922
Culture : A very original Rugosa by the colour of his flowers. To the best of his form, it is a rosebush which blossom opulently in the spring, wearing flexible and mat foliage. He re-flourishes a bit in the late summer especially if you cut spent flowers. The ochre buttons opens in yellow amber double flowers that fade at the end of flowering. The flowers exhale the smell of lemongrass. Very healthy as all Rugosa, he supports major cold and requires little maintenance but takes two years to settle.
Usage : Hedges, isolated and wild gardens.
Association : Join with a clematis with large blue or white flowers and from his second year, plant small shrubs as Potentilla which is thining out, at his base.
Diseases : Good resistance, no treatment, he may undergo some attacks of marsonia but relies on his own.
